The design edit

Three ways to
frame the collection.

01 · Classic

Glazed enclosures

Steel and glass turns a wine collection into a distinctive architectural feature.
02 · Open

Refined cellar entrances

A made-to-order door brings considered proportions to an existing wine room.
03 · Architectural

Bespoke bar patterns

Glazing bars and finishes developed around the racking, lighting and wider interior.
Wine Cellar

A considered space.
For a considered collection.

A wine cellar is one of the most considered spaces in a home. The collection it holds has been assembled over time and deserves a setting that reflects its quality. Steel and glass is a natural choice: it displays the bottles without concealing them, makes the enclosure part of the architecture and brings a distinctive material quality to the space.

BSD wine cellar enclosures are made to order. Every dimension, every bar pattern, every detail — specified around the room and the collection. Whether it’s a freestanding glass room within a basement, a steel-framed door to an existing cellar, or an enclosure coordinated with specialist climate control and custom racking, we develop the steel and glazing around what the space and collection require.

Before you specify

Considerations for
your wine room.

01

Climate control integration

A temperature-controlled wine room needs glazing, doors, seals and insulation selected for its environmental requirements. We coordinate enclosure specifications with your wine-room cooling specialist; the steel and glass enclosure alone does not provide temperature or humidity control.
02

Acoustic separation

Where a wine room sits beside a living or entertaining space, enclosure and cooling-system noise should be considered together. Our team can discuss glazing options and available acoustic performance evidence for the proposed specification.
03

Bespoke design

No two wine rooms are the same. We treat each as a bespoke commission — working from the dimensions and character of the space rather than a standard product range. Drawings and proposals are prepared for each enquiry.
04

Display lighting integration

Internal lighting within a glass wine enclosure transforms how the collection reads within the broader interior. We work with lighting designers and interior designers to coordinate the steel structure with the lighting scheme.
